I don't think this one will have a good effect, and it is accessible to occur powder falling. There are two possible ways, first, CMC plus cms and pregelatinization; second, add a special powder, 821 Redispersible Polymer powder.
PVA and CMC have a certain lifespan. The surface will be weathered and powdered after a few months, and it is not resistant to water. It will inevitably fall off due to moisture indoors. I recommend using the following formula:HPMC+white cement+ modifying agent+Heavy Calcium Carbonate, which can meet three conditions: good construction, no powder falling off by hand rubbing, and no delamination after polishing; the cost is not high but with good quality.
Special Redispersible Polymer powder is no more than these raw materials, so it is better to use cmc+cms+hps+modified bentonite for better cost performance.
If using pvad alone, the problem of powder falling will appear soon after it is applied on the wall. Recommend you to use cmc5.5-6 plus pregelatinized 4-5. And the critical point is to choose a fit CMC.
