Regarding the dosage of cellulose ether for plastering mortar

The DPM5 mortar produced by our company has a ratio of: 42.5 cement 110, coal ash 40, machine-made sand 850 (including 7% powder), and cellulose ether 0.32. As a result, the ease of construction feels good.

DPM20 mortar, ratio: cement 220, coal ash 30, machine-made sand 750 (7% powder), cellulose ether 0.32.

But the mortar is sticky and not easy to use. So what is the reason? Is it related to the amount of cellulose ether added to cement, and how should it be adjusted?
 
There is a bit more powder, and the amount of cellulose ether is also a little more. Simply relying on a cellulose ether is not very good for construction. You can add an appropriate amount of air-entraining agents and other materials to improve the construction.
 
How can you put plaster mortar 20，powder 302.5 (cement 220, coal ash 20, sand powder 52.2) and 0.32 cellulose ether not sticky? Now you can only reduce the powder amount and then reduce the viscosity.

The best total powder amount for plastering mortar is controlled at 23%-25%.
 
The powder should be at most 27%, or it will be easy to crack. If you add too much cellulose ether, you must add a little air-entraining agent.
 
Cement 220, coal ash 30, and the sand's fine powder. Too much fine powder will cause the mortar a risk of cracking. Consider removing the coal ash. You don't need to add so much cellulose ether; reduce it appropriately. 0.25 is enough.
