M5 mortar formula

M5 mortar formula:

425 cement 350 kg, Heavy Calcium Carbonate 50 kg, medium sand (quartz brick) 600 kg, Cellulose ether I kg, Redispersible Polymer powder 2 kg

Is this formula okay? Is it practicable to use it for M5 testing?

Is this intensity too high? M5 should be the lowest intensity. It estimates that 200kg of cement will not be used.

This formula even can make M15 mortar.

90kg cement can make M5 mortar, using sand with better gradation can make M15.

Did you use it for aerated bonding mortar? If it is an aerated bonding mortar, add some cellulose ether, and some Redispersible Polymer powder will pass the inspection.
